Part 1: fotpin celebrated Australia day with a morning of weeding. Belying the fact that this would be the hottest day of the summer so far, the day started cool and overcast - perfect for active weeding. In total 14 members joined in the weeding, but unfortunately our roving photographer, Heather Burness, was unable to capture them all in action.
Part 2: As the day warmed, the weeders and other members, family and friends were glad to adjourn to a convivial barbecue lunch hosted by Sue and Pax. Chair of the ACT Natural Resources Management Council, Sarah Ryan, dropped in to inspect the outcomes of our weeding for the season to date, particularly the saffron thistle slashing, and joined us for lunch.
