Saturday 15th September 9-30 to 11-30 am
Wildflowers at the Pinnacle Nature Reserve
Walk and wander with Rosemary Blemings through the Reserve and see the
wildflowers that are blooming this season. Explore the beauty of the reserve, its
grasses, trees, habitats and views whilst you go.
All welcome.
Meet at the Dungowan St entrance to the Reserve, in Hawker.
Sunday 23rd September (duration 1.5 hours)
Drawn from Nature: A walk for children and their creative talents in field
Do you like to draw? Come and explore what is in the Pinnacle Reserve this
spring and practice trying to draw what we find there. Children will be provided
with a clipboard, paper and drawing materials and be guided through seeing
and finding animals, plants and flowers in the reserve by John Brannan and Don
Driscoll. Heather Burness will encourage and guide your drawing skills.
Suitable for children 4 and up, all levels of experience welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Birds@The Pinnacle
There have been confirmed sightings of 102 different bird species in The Pinnacle Nature Reserve. Let John Brannan guide and show you some of the species that nest and fledge in Spring.
All welcome.
Meet at the Dungowan St entrance to the Reserve, in Hawker. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Sunday 18th November 10am (duration approx 4-5 hours return)
A Greater Walk: Across the Molonglo Valley
River levels permitting, we will cross the Valley to the magnificent views of
the Murrumbidgee Valley and the little known Uriarra Travelling Stock Route.
Please note that the level of difficulty is high with challenges in crossing the river and
negotiating riparian zones.
Bring snacks, lunch and water.
