11 Oct Rolled over the weeding sub-site to the 2017-18 season, including adding new menu links for pages specific to 2017-18 and posting the first weed effort report for 2017-18.
21 Aug New draft PCS Volunteer Policy and new Volunteer Code of Conduct added to the downloads page
15 Aug Updated the Kangaroos page results section with the 2016 cull and 2017 count numbers. Other small changes made to the Kangaroos page to keep it up to date and the 2017 revised Kangaroo Management Plan has also been added to the links section.

08 June The web page documenting our progress in eliminating sweet briars from the Reserve has been updated, and shows good progress again during the past season.

03 March New collection "Pinnacle Extension Walk, Nov 2016" added to the photo gallery, with the introduction of a new, slicker slide viewer.
26 February Updated the page Measuring success in controlling Verbascum to include data to the end of 2016. This data confirms the previous indications that our Verbascum control efforts are reducing its prevalence and that we can measure this reduction.

Updated the weeding effort summary for the 2016-17 weeding season.
29 October Added links to the Bureau of Meteorology Season Outlook pages for rainfall and temperature for the next 3 months to the Pinnacle Weather page
21 July Added the annual summary/review of the 2015-16 weeding season.
20 July Upgraded the email method used for "contact us", "suggestion box", "become a member" and "join the email list" to ensure compatibility with Internet Explorer.
02 July 2016 Pinnacle Extension page streamlined for easier viewing and updated with more information and links
30 June Fixed a problem with image displays on the History of fotpin weed control in the Pinnacle Offset/Extension page
16 June

Achievements in weed control page added, with links to several new or revised pages:

  Main menu modified to add new links (eg to the "Pinnacle extension" page and to the new "achievements" page noted above), to relocate others (eg the "grass experiment" to a new "archives" tab) and to delete obsolete menu items.

The content of a number of information pages has been updated.
15 June Coordinating Committee Minutes for the meeting held on 6th June added to the governance page.
07 June History of fotpin weed control in the Pinnacle Offset/Extension added. Requested by the Federal DoE in relation to the development of the Offset Management Plan for the Extension, this reports effort over the last 5 years for each weed type tackled plus GPS output to show where that effort occurred.
24 May A report of the 2016 kangaroo count was added and the results section of the kangaroo page updated.
14 May Information about the Draft variation to the Territory Plan to permit the incorporation of the New extension into the Reserve added to the 2016 Pinnacle Extension

A new way of viewing the weeding effort data has been added - a year-on-year comparison of effort spent on different weed species in the year to date compared to last year - an insight into the effect of different climatic conditions on weed growth

20 June Addition of an about the pinnacle page, which we plan to be a portal for information about the Pinnacle. It has kicked off with detailed content on birds of the pinnacle, plants of the pinnacle, and reptiles & amphibians of the pinnacle, as well as links to our maps of the pinnacle. More content will follow, we hope, in due course.

Addition of new issues pages on: rabbits, kangaroos and erosion, and insertion of brief accounts on our revegetation pilot project and fire management concerns

An overhaul of the menu to include links to the above pages, to introduce a new set of links to options to be involved in fotpin, and to make minor adjustments to others

Addition of a new website hints menu item, which leads to a page describing some of the quirks of our website and answers to some website FAQs

The structure of the blog page has also been altered to allow for more content.

19 March The draft document "The Pinnacle Nature Reserve: Ecological Needs and Proposed Responses" added to the website, linked from the about us menu (scope and intent) and the about us page. This document was commissioned at the December Coordinating Committee Meeting. It is a work in progress and comments and suggestions are very welcome.
